The importance of no "i" in Team
by Julian Ridden - Tuesday, 23 March 2010, 06:55 AM

TeamworkMorning all and welcome again to the Moodle4iPhone project webpage.

This mornings post is really here to reiterate the importance that we are putting on the importance of teamwork within our Project. I guess I like to clarify that this project is not mine but owned as whole by the developers from which the project is made up of. We are each putting in our part and helping the project grow.

Maria has written a great post below that I urge newcomers to read outlining our key members from all over the world. Each putting in what they can of their knowledge, time, expertise and passion. And don't forget that YOU, yes I am talking to YOU, not the other you, but YOU! YOU are part of this project as well. By viewing our page, evaluating the work and posting your comments in our forums, YOU can add to the project as well and help us move forward.

The feedback so far has been great and more work is happening behind the scenes to get the code ready for launch/download. Stay tuned for more updates.

All the best wishes
by Maria Zolfo - Monday, 22 March 2010, 07:05 PM

All the best wishes and half a ton of gratitude for the excellent work done for the Moodle iPhone to the group in Lima (Beto Castillo Llaque, Luis Fucay and Ellar Llacsahuanga) and to the group in Antwerp (Carlos Kiyan and Inge de Waard) for the successful launch testing demo of the coding.
A special thanks to the Tibotec REACH http://www.tibotec.com/bgdisplay.jhtml?itemname=dw_leftblock2 group, who give us the meaning to move the first steps in this adventure. Thanks to this initiative we could apply for an ‘innovative training/research project’ with our partner institution in Peru. Our project has been selected between 1800 and executed by the team in IMTAvH http://www.upch.edu.pe/Tropicales/ under the guide of Dr David Iglesias, in Lima and of Carlos Kiyan, in Antwerp. The two international teams have been working hard on the development of tutorials and on adapting OS functionalities to Smartphones (such as the Nokia N95 and iPhone) to let 20 physicians located in urban peripheral ART sites in Peru to keep up-to-date with the latest medical topics on HIV/AIDS care.
With the last touch of Inge de Waard (ITM, Antwerp), Hiroki Inoue (from Learning Design, Japan), Julian Ridden (Pukunui Tecnnology, Australia), Lewis Carr (United Kingdom), Michael Penney (Remote-Learner.net, USA), Ludo Mark Alier (Spain), and Dale Mugford (BraveNewCode, Canada), who gave permission to use his wptouch code, the coding demo could be launched last Friday.
Wonderful job done, proud to be part of the team!
Good luck for the continuation, Maria

Live Demo Launching this Friday
by Julian Ridden - Wednesday, 17 March 2010, 02:17 PM

Hello all, i thought it way past overdue for you to get an update from the team.

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone for the kind words of encouragement and offers of suport. this means alot to us and will help us move forward more quickly than ever before. But it is time now for us to ask YOU for your help.

This Friday (19th March) we will finally be letting our live demo loose on the web. You have seen the movies, heard the talk, now you can see it in action for yourself. But we need YOU to tell us what works and what doesn't. This is a big step for us before releasing the code to the world for download.

Please click here to enter our Community Zone and let us know what you like, don't like and bugs you find so we can keep this project moving forward.

regards

Julian
